Watch out! She's mobile.

Today Olivia figured out how to get from her back to her tummy. It won't be long before she's crawling around and getting in to everything! Now the real work begins.

I left her in the middle of this blanket...

Olivia at 3 months, she managed to get from her tummy to her back. (Sorry about the loud audio, I was a little excited.)

Olivia's 5 Month Update

5 months already! I can't believe how time flies by. Our little peanut is getting so big and is developing her own little personality.

At 5 months:

She is about 15 pounds and 25+ inches long.

She can roll over from her tummy to her back. She pretty much hates tummy time and immediately rolls over when we try to put her on her stomach.

She is a very good sleeper. She will go from about 7pm - 6 am without a feeding (WOOHOO!!)

She is very chatty when she wants to be. Especially in the morning when Mommy and Daddy are still trying to sleep. She will blather her little baby talk and kick her feet against the crib rails until we come get her.

She has figured out what her hands are for and has quite a grip. She can grab her toys and bring them to her mouth, although she doesn't always hit the target. She also goes for hair, jewelry, ears, glasses, etc. Watch out!

She thinks we are hilarious. I never knew what a comedian I was. Everything I do will make her laugh and laugh. It is so great!

Loves her nightly baths.

She grunts when she is getting upset. When she has had enough of something she will growl and grunt as a warning that a meltdown is imminent if we do not act quickly.

She is beginning to teethe and has become a drool machine. By the end of the day both of our shirts are pretty soggy with baby drool. She will bite on anything at all. Her tongue, her upper lip, my fingers, her fist, toys, bibs, etc.

She has taken over our house with her stuff. How and why does a 5 month old need so much stuff?? We can barely get in the front door without tripping over something.

She got her first car. OK we did it and I am not ashamed... We bought a Minivan. Go ahead chuckle. It has tons of room (again with the stuff) and has all the cool features so I don't care that it makes me look 15 years older. Respect the van.

She has daddy wrapped around her little tiny fingers. One look with those big blue eyes and dimples and he is done for. OK Mommy is too. How can we resist?
